Macoby Run Golf Course Honored the military by offering FREE GREENS FEES to all current and retired military personnel from November 8-15.  Check out the graph below a breakdown of divisions of the military.  Below the graph are some comments and thoughts.

From one Vet while The Rolling Stones were playing on the radio in the Pro Shop.  "I was stranded in the Philippines and heard a band play the Stones.  It was the first time I had heard their music."

One Vet was a photographer on a Navy ship during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

A different vet was a German Interpreter for counter intelligence during World War II.

And, we had an 88 year old Pearl Harbor survivor play the course.

About Macoby Run Golf Course:

Macoby Run is a challenging public, 18-hole championship golf course located in Green Lane, northwestern Montgomery County.  Set in beautiful, serine countryside, no houses encroach on the player.  Many unique challenges confront the golfer through their 18-hole trek: 138' of elevation change on the front 9; and then a longer, more bunkered back 9.  If the golf doesn't take your breath away, the many incredible vistas just might. The course was designed by David Horn of Architerra, P.C.  If you are looking for a quiet place to play, swing by Macoby Run for a peaceful round of golf and a delicious meal in the Wetlands.
